ISO 22000 is a food safety standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization. The standard specifies requirements for a food safety management system for an organization that is directly or indirectly involved in the food chain. ISO 22000 is easy to integrate with, for example, ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environment), because the standard is based on the same principles (High Level Structure – HLS).
